Two different things sit on this site and they have different owners. The English language is nobody's property, and the word list itself, the ENABLE list, is public domain: no one can restrict what you do with a list of words, and this site does not try to. What belongs to spellzoo.com is everything built around it, the writing on every page, the layout, the design and the solver, all of it original work made here.

Short version: use the words freely, print the lists for anyone, and do not republish the pages as your own.

You can, for free

• Read, copy and use any word from any list here, for anything at all. Words are not licensable and this site claims no ownership of them.
• Print any list, as many copies as you want, for your class, your club, your family, your library or your quiz night.
• Use the lists and the unscrambler in a classroom, in a lesson plan, on a whiteboard or in a handout you give to students. Teacher and classroom use is expressly allowed and always free.
• Quote a page in a blog post, a forum answer, a video or a newsletter.
• Link to any page here from anywhere. No permission needed and no attribution required for a link.

You cannot

• Copy the written pages, the introductions, the answers or the explanations, onto another site. Those are original writing, not facts.
• Republish the lists as a product of your own, or sell them in a book, an app or a bundle.
• Scrape the site to rebuild it somewhere else. The underlying word list is public domain and freely available at its own source: take it from there rather than from here.
• Claim the site, its writing or its design as your own work.

Attribution

Never required for printing, teaching or personal use. If you quote a page in a roundup, a resource list or an article, a link back to the page you took it from is appreciated and entirely optional.

Commercial use

If you want to use something from here in something you are paid for, a published workbook, a paid course, an app, ask first on the Contact page. For the raw word list the answer is that you do not need to ask anybody, including us. For the writing, the answer is often yes and it costs nothing, but it needs to be asked.
